Do you let sin linger in your life, making your body an instrument of unrighteousness? When we live  according to the desires of the flesh, we yield allegiance to the power of the sinful nature.

So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh; for if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.

Romans 8:12-13

How then do we kill sin? Hearing God’s word with faith, trusting His word and believing the word which satisfies more than the deeds of the flesh.

When you live under the dominion of the flesh, you are living a life opposed to God and His word. Oftentimes, sin dangles the promise of happiness and satisfaction, but it is just a trap to drag one into eternal condemnation. Are you going to make peace with sin which leads to eternal separation from God? I don’t think so. Trust the word of God which satisfies more than anything the world has to offer.
