Be Yourself. Comparison distorts reality.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

                                                                              1 Corinthians 15:10

Are you obsessed with your neighbour’s matters? Are you staring at someone else’s career, spiritual growth, relationship, family, finances instead of looking unto Jesus and clinging to His work of salvation?

Comparison is a trap and we can never be truly happy when we are jealous and envious. God has given you particular gifts and the grace to use them. Your life is a sacred calling and so is the life of others. And some callings may have greater levels of gifting and prominence than your own.
When we look at others, we should see the grace of God and not how inferior we are to them. See people as windows to the glory of God instead.

Stop comparing yourself to others. We are all a work in progress. Jesus should be our standard to measure life by and not other people. When we think like Christ, we become more like Him and reflect the beauty of His character. This entails walking in humility which will help us prepare and adapt to changes in life and have the mindset that all we do is for the glory of God. A humble worker also works in simplicity and trusts God always. We should be more concerned about growing in our walk with the Lord.

Are you ready to embrace the unique “you” and the special position where God put you today? His grace is more than enough.
