To know something is to be aware of it. Knowledge is a deep appreciation of something or a

relationship with someone. The Bible tells us that the knowledge of God is the most

important knowledge one can have. For the Christian, he has to be aware of God’s existence,

appreciate God and have a close relationship with Him.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be

the glory both now and to the day of eternity.

2 Peter 3:18.

When you have an honest relationship with God, He promises to give you knowledge. James

1:5 says that “If any of you lacks wisdom (knowledge), let him ask God who gives to all men

generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him”. Therefore, knowledge is a gift

from God. As children of God, we can grow spiritually by seeking the knowledge that God

wants to pass to us. And this implies having a relationship with God.

Pope Francis asserts that knowledge is a special gift that enables us to understand the love of

God through His creation and His relationship with the creatures. It helps us not to fall into

attitudes of error.

Finally, one who has the gift of knowledge possesses these characteristics: studying the word

of God on a regular basis, have a deep knowledge of the bible, and is careful about following

the will of God.
