Peace is not the absence of trouble, conflict or challenging situations, but that quiet in your inner self with an understanding that everything including your life is in God’s hands.

And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

                                                                                             Philippians 4:7

Peace enables the Christian to live a life of tranquility no matter the circumstances. It is a state of appreciation and faith when we submit ourselves to God and depend on the Holy Spirit.

The peace of God, “which transcends all understanding,” is the harmony and calmness of body, mind, and spirit which no earthly being can comprehend, and which supersedes all earthly circumstances. Peace unfolds when we learn more about God and His character, and refuse to allow our changing circumstances to determine our level of contentment. Christ never felt threatened nor allowed His circumstances to alter His confidence in God. We should strive for that peace which characterized the life of Christ. We can’t always control life’s challenges but can definitely rely on God’s character that never changes. Do you have that peace?
